Cold Case Solved: Retired Minister Arrested for 1975 Murder of 8-Year-Old Girl in Pennsylvania
David Zandstra, a retired minister from Georgia, has been charged with murder in the 1975 slaying of 8-year-old Gretchen Harrington in Pennsylvania. Zandstra, who was also the pastor at the church where Harrington was on her way to attend summer Bible school when she went missing, allegedly confessed to the crime after new evidence came to light. The victim's body was found two months later in a state park. District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer described Zandstra as a "remorseless child predator" who acted as a friend and neighbor, and then pretended to be a family friend for years. Authorities are concerned there may be more victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
