Jenelle Evans & David Eason Take Kids to Gun Show Amid Legal Troubles

"Teen Mom" star Jenelle Evans and her husband David Eason were spotted at a gun show with their children amid the possibility of facing child neglect charges. Eyewitnesses reported that David was seen with Jenelle's son Kaiser, while Jenelle stayed close to their daughter Ensley. The couple briefly attended the event, with David purchasing a bullet-proof vest for himself and a wooden battle ax for Kaiser. Their other child, Jace, was not present, and his repeated runaway attempts have been under investigation, along with allegations of abuse. Deputy cleared of responsibility in Parkland school shooting tragedy

Former Broward County Deputy Scot Peterson has been acquitted of felony child neglect and other charges for failing to act during the 2018 Parkland school shooting. This marks the first trial in U.S. history of a law enforcement officer for conduct during an on-campus shooting. Peterson, who wept upon hearing the verdict, had been accused of failing to confront the shooter and protect the students. The jury deliberated for 19 hours over four days before reaching their decision. Peterson, who has maintained that he would have confronted the shooter if he had known where the shots were coming from, expressed relief at getting his life back and hopes to one day sit down with the Parkland parents to tell them the truth. However, some parents believe Peterson prioritized his own safety over the students' and have no interest in meeting with him.

Jury to decide fate of deputy accused of fleeing during Parkland school massacre.

A Florida jury is deliberating whether former school resource officer Scot Peterson should be convicted of child neglect charges for failing to confront the gunman who killed 17 people and wounded 17 others at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in 2018. Peterson faces seven felony child neglect charges and three misdemeanor charges in relation to deaths and injuries on the third floor of the building, which prosecutors argued he had a chance to stop. The trial is thought to be the first in the nation against a member of law enforcement for inaction in a school shooting.
