Exposing and Stopping the Trade of Subway Groping Videos
The BBC World Service's investigative unit, BBC Eye, has gone undercover to expose the men behind three websites which sell and produce thousands of sexual assault videos filmed on public transport in East Asia, including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China. The videos are then listed on the websites for sale. The investigation traced the men behind the websites and found that they were making thousands of dollars from the sale of these videos. The men behind the websites were found to be Chinese nationals living in Japan, and one of them was a rock singer. The investigation also revealed that there is a Telegram group with 4,000 members who share tips on how to sexually abuse women.
