Chari Hawkins secures a spot on the U.S. team for the world track championships after finishing third in the heptathlon at the U.S. track and field championships. Hawkins, coached by Craig Poole, earned her second world championships team selection with a score of 6,053 points. Rising star Anna Hall won the competition, followed by Taliyah Brooks. Talie Bonds, another former Utah State athlete, advanced in the 100-meter hurdles, while several current and former BYU athletes will compete in various events on Saturday.
