NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory has revealed that the supernova remnant 30 Doradus B (30 Dor B) in the Large Magellanic Cloud has experienced multiple supernova explosions, challenging the conventional understanding that such remnants typically result from a single event. This discovery, made through a combination of X-ray, optical, and infrared data, provides new insights into the lifecycle of massive stars and the complex history of 30 Dor B, which is situated 160,000 light-years from Earth.
