Chained Echoes Unveils 'Ashes of Elrant' DLC for 2025 Release

Deck13 Spotlight and Umami Tiger have announced the "Ashes of Elrant" DLC for Chained Echoes, set to release in 2025. This expansion introduces a new land, Elrant, and occurs before the game's final battle. Players will encounter a new character, the White Wolf, explore new areas, battle over 40 new monsters and bosses, and enjoy 15 new music tracks. The DLC also includes a fishing feature. Chained Echoes is currently available on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.

"Chained Echoes and Three Others Depart Xbox Game Pass in December 2023"

Microsoft has announced that four games, including Chained Echoes and Rubber Bandits, will be leaving Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on December 15. Rubber Bandits offers a quick Gamerscore boost, while Chained Echoes and Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator provide longer gameplay experiences. Indie and Nintendo Games Face Review Bombing on Metacritic

Indie publisher Deck13 has called on Metacritic to take action after its acclaimed JRPG, Chained Echoes, was review-bombed for no apparent reason. The game received dozens of negative user ratings on Switch, PC, and PS4 Metacritic pages, dragging the user scores down to around five or six out of ten. The negative ratings don't come with any written reviews, and the development team has no idea where the ill-feeling has come from. The publisher suggests that the review-bomb may be tied to localization, but it's not certain. Deck13 hopes that the constant outrage around review-bombing might lead to a changing situation.
