
Washington Post Publisher Fred Ryan to Lead Civility Initiative, Steps Down from Role
Fred Ryan, Publisher and CEO of The Washington Post, is stepping down to lead a nonpartisan Center on Public Civility at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation. Patty Stonesifer has been appointed interim CEO of The Washington Post to oversee the leadership team and steer the organization through a period of transition. Under Ryan's leadership, The Post saw multiple years of profitability, vastly expanded digital subscriptions, and launched Arc XP, an industry-leading, cloud-based digital platform.
