Meta Unveils AI Chatbots with Celebrity Avatars for Interactive Social Experience
Meta has announced the launch of its own AI chat assistant, called "Meta AI," and a selection of AI characters, including celebrity avatars, across its messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger. The AI assistant is designed to help with trip planning, answering questions, and generating images from text prompts, with real-time results from Microsoft's Bing search engine. Meta is also rolling out 28 AI-powered characters, including ones played by celebrities like Tom Brady, Kendall Jenner, and Snoop Dogg. These characters function as representative avatars of the text-based AI bot personalities. Meta's massive user reach across its platforms gives it an advantage in reaching more consumers and increasing user engagement.
