Sony shuts down fan-made Bloodborne Diablo-inspired project over IP claims
Indie developer Maxime Foulquier says Sony sent a March 2025 cease-and-desist letter (via DLA Piper) to halt his Bloodborne: Top Down Arena, an isometric Diablo-like fan game set in the Bloodborne universe. Sony asserts ownership of Bloodborne IP and trademarks across multiple regions; the developer says he repurposed assets but planned to discuss the letter once the game was ready. The move follows past actions against fan projects (e.g., Bloodborne Kart) and comes as Bluepoint Games closes; Bloodborne remains a PS4 exclusive with no remake/remaster in sight.
