Sanity bids farewell to brick and mortar stores in Australia
After more than 40 years in business, Australia's iconic CD and DVD retailer, Sanity, has officially closed all 50 of its physical stores and moved to an online format due to consumers' preference for streaming platforms. The last two stores in Queensland's Browns Plains and Bundaberg closed on Sunday, prompting an outpouring of grief from staff and former customers. Sanity's CEO hopes to continue the brand's legacy online and ensure the employment future of its team members.
