Catan Board Game Creator Klaus Teuber Passes Away at 70
Klaus Teuber, the creator of the popular Catan board game, has died at the age of 70 after a brief illness. The game, originally called The Settlers of Catan, has sold tens of millions of copies and is available in more than 40 languages. Teuber, who was working as a dental technician when he started designing board games in his basement, never thought his game would become so successful. The game became a family business, and sales skyrocketed during the pandemic. The Catan studio team urged people to honor Teuber's memory by being kind to one another and enjoying a game with loved ones.
