Disneyland's Iconic Downtown Restaurant Closes After 22 Years.
Catal Restaurant and Uva Bar, two of the original restaurants in Downtown Disney in Anaheim, California, will close on April 14 after more than two decades of operation. The closure is due to a major redevelopment of Downtown Disney, which will include new additions such as Din Tai Fung and Porto's Bakery & Café. Disney filed building permits valued at $5.4 million in December 2022 for new construction, including an 8,300-square-foot retail building and an event space. Patrons expressed sadness at the closure of one of their favorite restaurants.
