Real Madrid has named Álvaro Arbeloa as the new first-team coach, promoting him from Castilla where he has been in charge since June 2025 and guiding youth sides to a treble with the Under-19s and a league title in 2024-25. As a player, Arbeloa appeared 238 times for Real Madrid (2009–2016), won eight trophies, and earned 56 caps for Spain, including the 2010 World Cup and Euro titles in 2008 and 2012.
