"Amazon Shifts Away from Cashier-Less Checkout System to Smart Shopping Cart Technology"

Amazon is replacing its cashier-less checkout system, "Just Walk Out," with smart shopping carts called "Dash Carts" at its Fresh grocery store locations in the U.S. The new carts will allow users to scan and weigh items, find products, view receipts, and track spending in real time. Amazon's Go convenience stores and smaller Fresh locations in the U.K. will continue to use the "Just Walk Out" technology, and the company will also license it to other retailers.
