The Boston Strangler: Former Employees Speak Out Amidst New Movie Release.
Former WBZ employees, including the city's first female news anchor Joanne Desmond, speak out about their experiences with the Boston Strangler as a new movie chronicling the era is released. Desmond recalls receiving letters from Albert DeSalvo, who later confessed to the crimes, and being protected by Boston Police when he came to the WBZ building. The movie tells the story of two female journalists who connected the crimes to DeSalvo. Casey Sherman, whose aunt was the last victim, also worked at WBZ and is a proponent of the multi-killer theory.
