Mariners DFA Outfielder Taveras, Recall Canzone
The Mariners have designated outfielder Leody Taveras for assignment and recalled Dominic Canzone from Triple-A, while Casey Lawrence cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A. Taveras, who struggled with the Mariners, will be available for claims or waivers, and Canzone will get another chance to prove himself at T-Mobile Park. Lawrence remains with the team in a flexible bullpen role.
