Lion's Post-Kill Behavior Leaves Onlookers in Awe.
A lion in South Africa's Kruger National Park took down a buffalo and had to move it away from the rest of the herd. Despite being charged by another buffalo, the lion was able to drag the carcass across the riverbed and feed on it in the shade of nearby bushes. Lions' carrying strength is adapted from the necessity to move prey away from scavengers.
