Justice Business Helicopter Seized by Marshals Over Debt to Russian Mining Company Owner
U.S. marshals have been instructed to seize a helicopter owned by a company belonging to West Virginia Governor Jim Justice and his family due to unpaid debt. The seizure is being sought by Caroleng Investments Limited, the parent company of Russian mining company Mechel, over a debt of $8.4 million. The dispute stems from a judgment against Bluestone Resources, a Justice company, in June 2021. The judgment also includes pre-award interest and calls for 9 percent interest to accumulate until the debt is resolved.
