Actress Samantha Weinstein Passes Away at 28 After Cancer Battle
Canadian actress Samantha Weinstein, best known for her role in the 2013 remake of Carrie, has died at the age of 28 after a battle with ovarian cancer. Weinstein worked up until May 4, doing an animation voice session. She was also the lead singer-songwriter and lead guitarist for the Toronto garage rock band Killer Virgins. Survivors include her sister, husband, and parents.
