Thursday marked the third-hottest day ever recorded in Austin, with a high temperature of 110° at Camp Mabry. This ties as the third-hottest temperature in the city's history and is the second-hottest day observed in August. Only two other days, in 2000 and 2011, were hotter. Additionally, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport experienced its fourth-hottest day with a high temperature of 109°. Camp Mabry has now seen 41 consecutive days of temperatures at or above 100°, breaking the previous record set in 2011.
