Buccaneers release Fournette and Brate in NFL free agency.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released running back Leonard Fournette and tight end Cameron Brate, both of whom will become free agents. Fournette played a significant role in the team's Super Bowl victory in 2020, but lost some playing time to rookie Rachaad White in 2022. Brate leaves the Bucs after nine seasons with the franchise, during which he caught 105 balls for 1,251 yards and 14 scores.
