Google has released the January 2024 security patch for Pixel devices, addressing a Camera app crash issue and display flickering on the Pixel 8 series. The update, with versions UQ1A.240105.002 and UQ1A.240105.004, also includes fixes for high-level vulnerabilities in the system and framework, as well as specific issues on the Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold. Users with Verizon will have a slightly different version, UQ1A.240105.004.A1. The patch follows December's update, which also aimed to improve Camera app stability and battery drain problems. Additionally, Android version 14 QPR2 Beta 2 was released in December, previewing features like a new "Internet" panel for Pixel devices.
