
Steelers release veteran tight end Jonnu Smith
The Pittsburgh Steelers released tight end Jonnu Smith, who joined the team last year in a trade with the Miami Dolphins. Smith has appeared in 141 games with 91 starts across his career with the Titans, Patriots, Falcons, Dolphins, and Steelers, tallying 345 receptions for 3,529 yards and 30 touchdowns, plus 19 rushing attempts for 126 yards and 1 rushing TD. In 2025 he had 38 receptions for 222 yards and two touchdowns. Earlier this week, the Steelers also released offensive lineman Calvin Anderson.
