Douglas Clark, one of the "Sunset Strip Killers" who terrorized Los Angeles in 1980, has died in prison at the age of 75. Clark, who was serving six consecutive death sentences, targeted vulnerable young women and engaged in necrophilia. His accomplice, Carol Bundy, eventually confessed to the crimes, leading to Clark's arrest. California has not executed a prisoner in 17 years, and Governor Gavin Newsom imposed a moratorium on executions in 2019.
