No. 15 Rutgers wrestling dominated RV Cal Poly, winning 31-10, and Duke, winning 47-0, in their season opener. The Scarlet Knights won 17 out of 20 bouts, including 13 victories by bonus points. Several wrestlers made impressive debuts, and head coach Scott Goodale expressed excitement for the team's performance. Evacuations have been issued after a vegetation fire broke out above San Luis Obispo High School in California. Additional resources have been ordered to fight the fire, which is burning in a south, southeast direction. Two more fires have been reported near Cal Poly, but are not an immediate safety concern for the campus community.
