The parent company of Instagram has been ordered to pay a judgment of $100 plus court costs and interest to the owner of Teatotaller Café after his account was deleted. Despite initially ruling in favor of Facebook, a circuit court judge ultimately ruled in favor of the cafe owner, stating that his breach of contract claim should not have been dismissed. The owner, Emmett Soldati, has since closed his Somersworth location but has opened new cafes in Concord and Dover. Instagram's current owner, Meta, did not respond to requests for comment.
