Uber Closes Drizly Alcohol Delivery Service
Uber is shutting down Drizly, its alcohol delivery service, after three years of operation. The service, which was acquired for $1.1 billion in 2021, faced challenges including a data breach and a settlement for failing to pay drivers tips and sales tax. Despite Drizly's closure, Uber will continue to offer alcohol delivery through its Uber Eats platform.
