QVC is recalling 1.1 million sets of Temp-tations Oven Gloves due to a potential burn risk, as they fail to provide adequate heat protection. The gloves, sold in various colors and patterns, have been linked to 162 reports of insufficient heat protection, including 92 minor burn injuries. Consumers are advised to stop using the gloves and contact QVC for a refund.
More than 440,000 Starbucks-branded mugs made by Nestle and sold during the winter holidays are being recalled due to a burn and laceration risk. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reported that the mugs, when microwaved or filled with extremely hot liquid, can overheat or break, causing injuries. Consumers are advised to stop using the mugs and return them for a full refund. Nestle stated that the issue was discovered after being contacted by consumers and is working closely with the safety commission on the recall.
