Former Glastonbury Police Officer Suspected in 30+ Burglaries, Arrest Warrant Issued
The arrest warrant for former police officer Patrick Hemingway alleges that he was a "serial burglar" responsible for 30 or more burglaries in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. Hemingway allegedly targeted restaurant businesses, using lock-picking tools to steal cash from safes and cash registers. Investigators used cellphone tower data and surveillance footage to identify Hemingway as a suspect. He is also accused of unlawfully accessing a law enforcement database and using it to obtain vehicle and criminal data. Hemingway, who resigned from the Glastonbury Police Department, is being held on a $1 million bond and is expected to face additional charges.
