Astros' Bryan Abreu's Suspension for Hitting Adolis García Delayed until 2024 Season
Major League Baseball has upheld Houston Astros pitcher Bryan Abreu's two-game suspension for intentionally hitting Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis García during the ALCS, but the suspension will not be served until the 2024 season. Abreu appealed the suspension and pitched in Game 6 before the ruling was announced. In addition to fines for Abreu, García, and Astros manager Dusty Baker, inactive pitchers Matt Bush and Lance McCullers Jr. received fines and will be prohibited from sitting on their respective teams' benches for the remainder of the ALCS.
