Teenage MAGA Influencer Sentenced to One Year in Prison for Storming Capitol
Bruno Cua, a former high school student and aspiring social media influencer, has been sentenced to a year and a day in federal prison for his involvement in the Capitol attack on January 6, 2021. Cua, who had filled his social media with posts advocating for violence and overturning the election, pleaded guilty to obstruction of an official proceeding and assaulting officers. The judge took into account Cua's youth and immaturity, as well as the time he served on home detention, in determining the sentence. Cua expressed remorse for his actions and stated that he no longer aspired to have a career in social media.
