Bruce Callahan, who escaped from a Virginia jail earlier this month, was captured after he pulled a fire alarm at Longwood University, which is just miles from the facility he fled. Callahan was "injured and in poor health" when he pulled the outdoor fire alarm on a residence hall. He was taken into custody "without incident" and provided medical attention. Prior to his escape, Callahan was being held on federal drug and weapons charges.

The first inmate, Alder Marin-Sotelo, was captured in Mexico on May 4. Both men manipulated the locking mechanism of a rear exit door to get out.
The FBI and U.S. Marshals Service are offering a combined reward of up to $70,000 to help find two inmates who escaped the Piedmont Regional Jail in Virginia. Alder Marin-Sotelo, charged with murdering a Wake County, N.C., deputy last year, had assistance from his older sister in escaping the jail. Bruce Callahan, held on federal drug and weapons charges in North Carolina, also escaped. If seen, call 911 immediately.
