Tragic Sand Hole Collapse Claims 7-Year-Old Girl's Life on Florida Beach
A 7-year-old girl died and her 9-year-old brother was hospitalized after being trapped in a 6-foot-deep sand hole collapse on a Florida beach. The children, who were on vacation from Indiana, were digging the hole when it collapsed, burying them. Despite efforts from about 20 people to rescue them, the girl was pronounced dead at the hospital while the boy is in stable condition. The incident is under investigation, and beachgoers are advised to avoid digging holes deeper than knee-level to prevent such tragedies.
