Jet-Set Predators on Trial: Alexander Brothers Accused of a 12-Year Sexual Assault Ring
Prosecutors in New York opened their case against the Alexander brothers—two real estate agents and a third sibling—alleging a 12-year scheme to lure women with flights, luxury hotels, and parties, then drug and sexually assault or rape them, sometimes at glamorous destinations like the Hamptons. The defendants, who have pleaded not guilty and are held without bail, dispute the charges, arguing the conduct was consensual and that witnesses’ accounts are unreliable. The trial, expected to last about a month, will examine accusations of deception, coercion and criminalization of consensual sex.
