Cheese rolling champion triumphs despite knockout blow.
Delaney Irving, a Canadian participant in the annual cheese rolling race in Brockworth, UK, won the women's race despite being knocked unconscious while chasing a 3kg cheese wheel down the almost-vertical Coopers Hill. Hundreds of people participated in the event, which went ahead this year despite safety concerns. Matt Crolla won the first men's downhill race, while Ryoya Minami from Japan was among the winners. The event was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid pandemic.
