Bridging the American Divide: Students Forge Friendships
The American Exchange Project (AEP) is a unique student exchange program that allows high school graduates to experience a brand-new culture within the United States. Founded by David McCullough III, AEP aims to bridge the political, socio-economic, and cultural divides in America by sending students to towns that are different from their own. Through this program, students have the opportunity to bond with peers from diverse backgrounds and gain a deeper understanding of different perspectives. McCullough hopes to expand the program to reach a million students a year, all free of charge, with the support of donors like Steven Spielberg.
