Toys 'R' Us Announces Brick-and-Mortar Comeback and Hot Toy List for 2023
Toys R Us is planning a comeback in the U.S. with up to 24 new flagship stores, as well as expansion into airports and cruise ships. The toy retailer's parent company, WHP Global, aims to open the new stores next year in partnership with Go! Retail Group, starting with an airport store in Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. This expansion follows the acquisition of Toys R Us' parent company in 2021 and the opening of new stores at Macy's locations. The company plans to offer immersive shopping experiences in the new flagship stores, while also tapping into the travel retail market.
