Flying Dog Brewery to Close Frederick Location After Sale
The Flying Dog Brewery in Frederick, Maryland has been sold to the FX Matt Brewing Co. and will stop producing beer in Maryland this summer. The current brewery is expected to cease production by August and all of Flying Dog's beers will be brewed in New York until the taproom and innovation brewery opens in Frederick. Flying Dog CEO Jim Caruso said that the brewery has too many limitations and puts Flying Dog at too great a competitive disadvantage.
