First Mission Scratched from Preakness Stakes Due to Injury

First Mission has been scratched from the Preakness Stakes due to a left hind issue that could not be fully identified by the veterinary team. The welfare of the horse is the utmost concern for Godolphin, and they will take necessary steps to get him back on track. This comes after multiple horses were scratched from the Kentucky Derby earlier this month, and two horse deaths led to the suspension of a horse trainer.
