Glenda Jackson: From Oscar Winner to Trailblazer for Women in Hollywood
Glenda Jackson, the two-time Oscar-winning actor, gave her golden trophies to her mother, who used them as bookends. Jackson won the Oscars for her roles in Women in Love and A Touch of Class. She passed away at the age of 87 after a brief illness. Jackson was also a Labour MP and won a Bafta for Best Actress in 2020 for her role in Elizabeth Is Missing. She recently completed filming The Great Escaper, co-starring with Michael Caine.
