Several courthouses in Maine, including the Cumberland County Courthouse, were evacuated due to bomb threats received via email. The Portland Police Department's explosive K-9 units conducted sweeps and found nothing, leading to the reopening of the buildings. Similar threats were made to other state capitol buildings across the country the previous day, and officials believe the threats to be hoaxes.
