"Cracked Support Beam Shuts Down Fury 325 Roller Coaster at Carowinds"
Carowinds' Fury 325 roller coaster was closed after a large crack was discovered in a support beam holding up part of the track. The roller coaster's manufacturer, Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M), is known for producing safe rides and has never had a catastrophic failure on one of its coasters. Inspectors from the North Carolina Department of Labor are investigating the cause of the crack. B&M has not commented publicly on the support beam failure, and it is unclear how long the ride will be out of commission. Carowinds has three other B&M roller coasters.
