Drug cartel violence in Cancun resort leaves 8 dead bodies found by authorities.
Eight bodies were found dumped in Cancun, Mexico, a popular tourism destination, over the weekend. Five of the bodies were found at an abandoned construction site, while three sets of skeletal remains were discovered in a wooded area near a poor neighborhood. Drug cartels have been disposing of their victims' bodies in clandestine dumping grounds as they fight for control of the Caribbean coast and its drug trade. The bodies are estimated to have been dumped there between one week and two months ago. More than 112,000 people are listed as missing throughout Mexico.
