From April Fools’ joke to race-ready: BMW M3 Touring 24H targets Nürburgring 2026
BMW M Motorsport has turned its 2025 April Fools’ joke into reality: the BMW M3 Touring 24H will race in the SPX class at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring 2026, with Schubert Motorsport and four works drivers (Jens Klingmann, Ugo de Wilde, Connor De Phillippi, Neil Verhagen) on Yokohama tyres. The car, based on the M3 Touring with tech shared from the M4 GT3 EVO, is longer and higher and will debut in the Nürburing Langstrecken Serie before the main race, featuring a special livery for fans.
