"DIY Altoids Tin Keyboard: A Compact Innovation"
[flurpyflurples] has created the Mintboard, a 40% Bluetooth keyboard that fits inside an Altoids tin, featuring a rugged design and built-in cover. The build involved meticulous measurements to determine switch compatibility, ultimately settling on a micro switch spaced at 7.3mm for a 40% layout. The Nice! Nano was chosen for Bluetooth capabilities, programmed with ZMK, and 3D printed keycaps with cutout legends were sealed using UV nail polish top coat. The result resembles a Blackberry keyboard and has garnered attention for its innovative design and compact form factor.
