
Bluegrass Icon Bobby Osborne Passes at 91
Bobby Osbourne, the Kentucky bluegrass legend and member of The Osbourne Brothers, known for hits like "Rocky Top," has passed away at the age of 91. Osbourne, a talented singer, yodeler, and guitarist, later became known for his signature mandolin playing. Alongside his brother Sonny, they toured with Bill Monroe and were inducted into the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame. Osbourne also taught at the Kentucky School of Bluegrass and Traditional Music and was honored by Governor Andy Beshear. His legacy as a pioneer in the Bluegrass music industry and champion for Eastern Kentucky is remembered.
