Wicked's Vibrant Colors Clash with Modern Film Techniques
The production of the film adaptation of "Wicked" faced a unique challenge due to the character Elphaba's green skin, which clashed with the green-screen technology typically used in visual effects. To avoid erasing the character, the filmmakers switched to blue screens, which presented their own lighting challenges.
