Tragic Speedboat Crash Claims Life of Bloomsbury USA President
Adrienne Vaughan, the president of Bloomsbury USA publishing house, was killed in a speedboat crash off the coast of Italy. The speedboat, carrying Vaughan, her husband, and their two children, collided with a sailing ship during a tour of the Amalfi coast. Vaughan was launched into the water and fatally struck by the speedboat's propeller. Her husband was injured and their children were treated for shock. The speedboat driver, who allegedly failed toxicology tests, was also hospitalized. Vaughan had recently become president of Bloomsbury USA and previously worked for the Disney publishing group.
