Adrienne Vaughan, the CEO of Bloomsbury US, was killed in a boating accident off Italy's Amalfi Coast when the motorboat she was riding on collided with a sailing vessel. The skipper of the boat she was on is under investigation after toxicology reports showed he had more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system. Vaughan was thrown into the water and died from injuries caused by the propellers. The investigation is ongoing, and both boats involved in the accident have been sequestered.
