ECU Promotes Blake Harrell to Head Football Coach
East Carolina University is set to promote interim coach Blake Harrell to head coach after he led the team to a 4-0 record since taking over on October 20. The ECU board is expected to formalize the decision soon. Harrell, previously the defensive coordinator, has impressed with his energetic and hands-on coaching style, earning strong support from players and fans. He will replace Mike Houston, who was fired after a 27-38 record over six seasons. Harrell's promotion is the first among the six open coaching positions in the American Athletic Conference this year.
